A 39 year old woman woman has been cautioned by police after CCTV cameras captured her attacking a cash machine with her stiletto shoe.

The Barclays Bank ATM machine in the Market Place in Chippenham, was struck "almost 50 times" shortly after midnight on 2 July.

The 39-year-old, from Chippenham, was interviewed by police last week and given the caution on Monday. A Wiltshire Police spokesman said she had repaid the bank for the damage to the machine.
