Q. Where do you put the DVR (Digital Video Recorder)?
A. This really depends on the type of property or building. For a business, usually the DVR will be stored in a locked office or cupboard. For residential installations, the DVR is usually located next tot he TV or in a home office or spare room connected to a VGA monitor. Another consideration for the location is your broadband router. If you want to take advantage of remote or internet access, a cable will need to be routed from your broadband router and your DVR.

Q. Where do you run the cables?
A. It is normal to run one single cable between the camera location and the DVR location. The cable route will depend on the type of property or building. Usually a combination of external and internal cable routes will be used with care on the location of externally routed cables to avoid tampering or vandalism.
Q. Do you conceal the cables?
A. Yes and no. We always try our very best to conceal cables as best as possible. However, there are occasions when it is not possible without structurally altering the property or building (such as lifting floorboards or channelling walls) and in these instances cables will be installed surface mounted but always in the best possible way which is pleasing to the eye.
Q. What kind of cable do you use?
A. This really depends on the type of property or building and the locations of the cameras. We will use either shotgun/Siamese RG59 plus Power coaxial cable or high quality CAT5 cable. All cables are weatherproof and very durable.
Q. Will there be much disruption and mess?
